Fractures and Trauma

Mr Gordon specialises in fractures (broken bones) of the foot, ankle and knee, in both children and adults. This includes fractures of the ankle (fibula and/or tibia), metatarsals, toes, talus and navicular bones. He completed a trauma fellowship at The Royal London Hospital Trauma Centre, treating the most complex, severely injured patients. He also treats upper limb fractures (wrist, elbow, shoulder and clavicle).

For fractures that prove difficult to heel, including stress fractures, Mr Gordon has expertise in using the novel Exogen ultrasound device.

What is a Fracture?
A bone fracture is a medical condition in which a bone is cracked or broken. It is a break in the continuity of the bone. While many fractures are the result of high force impact or stress, bone fracture can also occur as a result of certain medical conditions that weaken the bones, such as osteoporosis.
